It's spring, and the birds know it! Explore the birds of Devil's Backbone Open Space and learn what they're up to this time of year. Hike 1-2 miles with Larimer County Education and Volunteer Specialist, Ellen Harris, along the Wild Loop trail to learn about migration, bird song, nesting, and more. Easy/moderate difficulty (slow pace, uneven surfaces, natural dirt trail). Meet near the trailhead kiosk. Binoculars are highly recommended if you have them, a few pairs will be available to borrow. Best for participants 10 years and older. Program is free, but parking fee is required. Participants should bring: Sun protection (sunglasses, hat, sunscreen) Wear comfortable hiking/walking shoes (closed-toe recommended) Water Insect repellant (optional) Snacks Clothing appropriate for the weather Backpack (to carry it all)
