Horsetooth Mountain Open Space  |  Registration Required

Public Program - Mixed Ages

Take a virtual wildflower walk of Horsetooth Mountain Open Space with volunteer naturalist Kathy Keeler. We’ll see the colorful late spring wildflowers of Larimer County, where the the plains meet the mountains. Of course they have names, but Kathy will include other information, on how humans have used the plants or that its an important food for wildlife and more. Bring your questions about the wildflowers of Horstooth Mountain to Kathy's Zoom program (sign in for zoom will be sent on the day of the program). Kathy has lived in Loveland since 2006, did research on native plants in the City of Boulder Open Space from 1995-2006, and was a professor of biology (plant ecology) at the University of Nebraska (1975-2006). As A Wandering Botanist, she writes a blog about plants, travel and history http://awanderingbotanist.com
