Night Owl Adventures - Mixed Ages
Special event viewing the lunar eclipse. Please arrive before 11:00 pm as the gates will be closed. Participants will be able to leave but not enter after 11:00 pm. Eclipse totality is expected to be between 12:26 - 1:31 am MDT. So, please plan accordingly if you'd like to stay for the whole thing! Enjoy an evening with members of the Northern Colorado Astronomical Society (NCAS) for an up-close look at the night sky over the Rockies. Telescopes will be available for viewing stars, galaxies, planets and more! Bring the whole group to connect with the wonders of the night sky. This program is located at Horsetooth Mountain Open Space (entrance on County Road 38E). Telescopes will be set up in the east end of the paved parking lot. Program is free but a parking pass is required. Registration is encouraged. Dress warmly for winter evening temperatures (winter hats, gloves, winter jacket, boots, warm socks, etc.) and bring binoculars if you have them. Weather dependent.
