Volunteer Project - Mixed Ages
Help clean up Eagle Campground at Carter Lake! Eagle Campground is tucked away among the pines... which means there are a lot of pine needles. Let's get them out of the campsites and create a great camping experience for all our visitors. Volunteers will walk around the campground and use tools such as rakes to gather pine needles into piles and bags. Volunteers will need to be able to walk while carrying tools or bags and be able to bend over to move pine needles. This project is considered easy and appropriate for all age groups. IF YOU HAVE YOUR OWN RAKE, please bring it! Some rakes will be available but we do not have enough for all our volunteers. Here is a list of essentials for the day: Sun protection (sunscreen, hat, sunglasses) Closed-toed shoes (no sandals or flip-flops) Refillable water bottle Snacks Work gloves (will also be provided) Comfortable, easy to move in clothing that will get dirty A backpack to carry it all
