Celebrate the 52nd Earth Day and "invest in our planet" by spending the morning picking it up along Long View Trail. A lot of trash blows off the road onto the trail. Help us Pick It Up and give this area some much needed love. This litter cleanup event will be in partner with City of Loveland Volunteers. All ages are welcome. (some pick will take place along Taft/Shields) Meet at Sunset Vista Natural Area (City of Loveland) on W 57th St. between Hwy 287 & Taft Ave/(Shields). Long View Trail is a paved 4.5 mile trail. Volunteers can hike or bike to pick up litter. Full trash bags will be left near the trail for staff to retrieve later. Volunteers will need to bring: Trash bags (some will be provided) Work or latex gloves (some will be provided) Wear closed-toe shoes Sun protection (sunglasses, hat, sunscreen) Water & refillable water bottle Clothing appropriate for the weather - we recommend long pants for working in tall grass Hand sanitizer (optional) Safety vests will be provided Car pooling is recommended.
