Night Owl Adventures - Mixed Ages

Enjoy an evening with members of the Northern Colorado Astronomical Society (NCAS) for an up-close look at the night sky over the Rockies. Telescopes will be available for viewing stars, galaxies, planets and more! Bring the whole group to connect with the wonders of the night sky. This open house-style program is located at Red Mountain Open Space (799 Red Canyon Road Wellington, CO 80549). Telescopes will be set up in the parking lot. Program is free. Registration is encouraged. There is no water available at the Red Mountain Open Space trailhead for people or livestock. Carefully prepare for recreation at Red Mountain Open Space. The area is remote and rugged. Be aware of weather conditions and watch closely for changes in the weather. High winds and extreme sun are common in this area. Quick moving thunderstorms are also common. Dogs are not allowed outside of your car at Red Mountain Open Space, even in the parking lot. Dress warmly for winter evening temperatures (winter hats, gloves, winter jacket, boots, warm socks, etc.) and bring binoculars if you have them. Weather dependent.
